At HEAVEN, material quality begins where you may never see it.
Our furniture is built using a carefully considered combination of premium plywood, engineered MDF, natural wood veneer, and solid wood. Each material is selected for the role it performs best—structural stability, moisture resistance, surface quality, or the natural character of real wood.
This approach allows us to create bathroom vanities and architectural cabinetry that feel like fine furniture while being engineered for everyday use.
Plywood Construction
The cabinet body and interior storage of our vanities are built primarily from 3/4" plywood.
Plywood provides excellent structural stability and screw-holding strength while remaining more resistant to dimensional movement than many conventional furniture panels. Its layered construction makes it particularly well suited for cabinetry, drawers, and structural components that must perform reliably over time.
Rather than treating the interior as an afterthought, we design it as part of the furniture. Drawer boxes and exposed interior surfaces can also be finished or veneered to coordinate with the exterior of the vanity.

MDF — Precision Where It Matters
High-quality MDF provides an exceptionally stable and uniform surface, making it ideal for painted, lacquered, and veneered cabinet fronts.
Unlike natural solid wood, MDF has no grain direction or seasonal movement that can affect a perfectly flat painted surface. We use it strategically where dimensional stability and finish quality are essential.
Depending on the design, fronts are finished with lacquer or faced with genuine wood veneer before staining and protective finishing.
Real Wood Veneer
HEAVEN uses genuine wood veneer rather than plastic surfaces designed to imitate wood grain.
Veneer is a thin layer of real timber carefully cut from a log and applied to a stable substrate. It allows us to preserve the grain, warmth, variation, and tactile character of natural wood while achieving the dimensional stability required for precise contemporary cabinetry.
We carefully select and arrange adjacent fronts and exposed panels to create visual continuity across the piece. Because every tree is different, subtle variations in grain and tone are expected—and are part of what makes natural wood unique.
Like solid timber, natural veneer may gradually deepen and develop character with age and exposure to light.
Solid Wood
Solid wood is incorporated where its structural and tactile qualities contribute meaningfully to the design, including selected details, profiles, and certain fluted elements.
We don't use solid wood simply because it sounds more luxurious. In precision cabinetry, an intelligent combination of solid wood, natural veneer, MDF, and plywood can provide greater stability and consistency than relying on solid timber for every component.

Finishing & Surface Protection
Beautiful wood also needs to perform in a bathroom environment.
After staining, painting, or veneering, surfaces receive a professional protective finishing system selected for the material and intended application. Our finishing process is designed to protect the surface from everyday moisture, wear, and handling while preserving the natural appearance and texture of the material.
Regular quality checks throughout production help us maintain consistency in color, surface quality, construction, and finish before each piece leaves our workshop.
With appropriate care, these finishes are designed to preserve the appearance and performance of the furniture for years to come.
